HELP ON YOUR SEARCH REQUEST:
[ Close Help ]
By using the combo boxes or the free search field, you can set up a fine-tuned search request through the Jazz-Club events:
DATE: Hopefully, the options are self-explaining. — Please note: If you choose to display ALL DATA, your browser will be quite busy,
so it might take some time until it will show some results (to be picked from far more than 1.000 registered events)!
EVENT TYPE: Please choose from the offered options and forgive the quite subjective pre-selection ...
We are aware that also Bar Jazz can have concert character :-).
LOCATION: Please choose from the offered options, and consider that you may find locations that do not exist anymore. They are
in the database to be able to show you events of the past that happened there.
ENTRANCE FREE: Please choose from the offered options. Or leave it as it is to see all events regardless possible entrance fees.
FREE SEARCH: Please type any item in this field: It can be a band name (Bach Band) , a time (17:00) or a town / location name
(TUFA). — To start the search, simply type ¶ (Return) on your keyboard. This search will ignore any settings in the combo boxes!
SEARCH CRITERIA: Quite useful is the use of so-called search placeholders:
% ⇒ If you are in doubt whether the name you want to find is spelled ‘Bach Band’ or
‘Bachband’, type ‘Bach%and’ in the search field. — The percent sign stands for
any number of letters.
? ⇒ The question mark will mask exactly 1 letter. A search for ‘W?nder’ will therefor find
‘Wander’, ‘Wender’, ‘Winder’, ‘Wonder’, ‘Wunder’ ...
Please consider that your search items are accumulative:
If you type ‘Bach Band’ in the name field and then choose ‘2015’ from the Date menu,
only events with Bach Band (spelled as such) in the year 2015 will be delivered, but not from other years or from Bachband. —
The more filters are set, the more precise the search will be, but with the risk that you find nothing
if your filter grid is too fine. — Just try it out, you cannot destroy anything!
